Ruger LCP .380--under $300 in most places for the non laser sight model--reliable, small, dirt simple to use. Mine feeds anything I put in it.

Thanks to you and Ruger 41, that is what I thought was about it.
Someone said look at a Bersa, but don't know about them or their pricing.

Auction side search semi's and then click price. Gives you a good idea.

Bersa Thunder 380 is definitely priced in same range as the others. Do you know anything about this Bersa?

I ve known folks that own them and are happy and others that arent. I hate to tell you what to do because every gun shoots different for a given individual. If you find a really good deal and can flip it then yes buy one. But you really should shoot one before buying, or atleast do a fit test in a gun shop.

If all you need is "small, semiauto, and under $325" any number of guns in .380 meet those criteria. I'd also say, don't overlook the Commie bloc 9mm Makarov guns. Those are pretty good guns for the money, and 9mm Makarov is both more powerful than .380, plus a teensy bit cheaper to buy.

I'd stay away from anything smaller than that in caliber.

If you must have 9mm luger, with those criteria, you're basically looking at the Kel Tec P11 and not a lot more.

Incidentally, my personal experience with the Ruger LCP is that it is not completely reliable. Pretty much NONE of the really small polymer .380s are completely reliable out of the box.

Also, if you are looking for a small concealed carry gun, I'd urge you to at least consider an alloy frame .38+P special revolver instead. Its more powerful and more reliable than any .380. The only thing you give up is a small amount of capacity (usually 5 shots for the .38 vs 7 for the .380), and in my opinion the greater power and reliability make up for it.

Look at the Kahr CW series pistols available in 9mm, 40sw, & 45acp. Might be a little out of your range but top of the line affordable ($400 range) pistols.

Check the auction side. Bet you could find a deal on one there.

I have now put lots of rounds through my new Taurus 738 - only 9.5oz, loaded chamber indicator - locks back on last round - shoots to point of aim - 100% reliable with many styles of ammo - nice smooth DAO - and MADE IN THE USA. I am very impressed with it. 265 bucks. And comes with 2 mags.

I bought a Bersa Concealed Carry in .380. for $300 about two years ago. I had feed problems with self defense rounds. I called Bersa and they had me send it to a repair shop. I paid shipping to the shop and sent it direct due to the fact they where factory authorized. They fixed it and sent it back to me with no further charges. The gun has not failed since and is 100% reliable. It shoots very accuratly and fits my fairly well for a small gun. It conceals well. It is a little heavy but arn't they all after 8 hrs or so? th_guns001.jpg[/img]

I concur on the Ruger and KelTec 380's. Look around for a KelTec CW
as stated. Found one used for the price you list in .40 S&W and have carried it extensively in gritty environment. Seems impervious
and is a lot easier on the hand than I thought.
