Grendel P30 Continued Problem
Thank each of you for your past responses!
Why did my former topic get locked?
After test firing again, I still have a problem with new round not being picked up. I think the top slide, when it is forced back by the pressure from the fired round, is not going back far enough. When I take the spring out from around the barrel and manually operate it thru a cycle the top slide gets real hard to move when the loader(front)- cocker(back) hits the hammer. Even after the hammer is cocked the top slide is still hard to pull into rear position. Any suggestions?

Try to see if the slide is binding anywhere along the frame rails, maybe there is a burr somewhere that needs to be smoothed out. The slide should move freely back and forth on the frame.
By the way, its GB policy to lock a topic on Ask the Experts after it has reached ten posts, don't take it personal.0 -
No I have the magazine out and I cleaned all the burs and rough places and put a little gun grease on rail and hammer and seems a lot smoother. 0 -
Take it out and test fire it now thats is cleaned and lubed up, let us know how it functions! 0 -
I am in a wheelchair and did not get out until today because of rain. I fired rounds from both magazines and also tried an after market spring with a smaller dia. wire. Gun still doesnt pick up next round. Could the ammo be weak (purchased from an old western auto) boxes look old? Any suggestions would be greatly be appreciated. 0
