Ted Williams 100/ Winchester 94 sight
Any help appreciated, is the front sight the same on a Ted Williams model 100 as on a regular Win 94?
The gun has a scope that I want to get rid of, but no front sight.
I checked Numrich, nothing for a Ted Williams, plenty of options for the Win 94. Any help also on the height, .260, .290 ?
Thanks!

Front sights....I have a Sears model 54, a Sears Ted Williams model 100, and a newer 94 Ranger model. All are without hoods, and mounted in a barrel dovetail. I believe all are original. Rough measurements (eyeball) with a micrometer, without removing the sight from the dovetail (top of sight to bottom of dovetail):
1. Ranger...height .580 in.
2. Sears TW 100 ...height .580 in.
3. Sears 54 ...height .475 in.
All my other Win. 30-30s have the front sight mounted on a ramp with a dovetail and hood. Without removal, they all appear to be significantly shorter.
As a senior citizen, all my 30-30s have scopes mounted, and intact front and rear sights.
Hope this helps.....BT0 -
The front sight on my 20" barreled Sears 54 (273.2120) is .485" above the barrel (no ramp) and the dovetail appears to be another .095" for a total height of .490". the barrel dia. is .610" at this point. For 100 yds (+2") with 170 gr. loads, the bottom of the notch on the rear sight is .405" above the barrel which is .860" dia. under the blade. 0
