Remington Mohawk 48 DOM

BIL just purchased a really clean mohawk 48, in 12 gauge.
Would appreciate any info, and a DOM if possible
Serial # 52547XX
Barrel stamp 6dt42
If anyone can help me out, it is much appreciated.

  I'm not finding anything on the Remington chart for any of the code you gave.
  The code should be two or three letters and is located just ahead of the receiver on the left side of the barrel.
  
  It is also possible the date code may be incorrect as shotgun barrels were changed out indiscriminately.
  
  Remington at some time stopped numbering shotgun barrels and I'm not sure on the mohawk 48's. Is the barrel serial numbered to the gun?
  
  
  Just took another look.
  If you go by the dt and ignore the 6 42 it may be Sep 1970. All of the date code letters I've seen though were struck with upper case characters rather than lower case. Not sure what the 6dt42 could be.

  Thanks!
  That is the same date I came up with after some more searching.
  The problem is, the blue book says the model 48 was only manufactured until 1960.
  Maybe I misread the barrel stamp.
  Didn't see any barrel serial#.
  I always thought Remington had a poor sysrem for identifying DOM.
  Oh well,
