244 remington/85 gr nosler partition

Model 725 remington in 244/6mm with the slow 1/12 twist. 85 gr Nosler pt with 45 gr imr 4350 and fed 210 primer handloads at approximately 3200 fps. Five shot groups average 1.25 inches. I would think would be adequate whitetail load. Anyone use the 85 partitions?

  I have not used the 85 grain partition, but have used the 85 grain Barnes XLC, and TSX. They are like the hammer of thor with a properly placed shot. They will break both shoulders on a broadside shot.

  Nosler Partitions are still one of the better designed bullets available to us as reloaders. I have always had confidence in them when I chose to use them. The 85 Gr. is no different.
  
  My only caution is to not attempt to stretch the legs on this combination. Three hundred yards will be just about the maximum you should attempt and then only if you are a better than average marksman. Do not go for the shoulder breakdown shot but concentrate on the heart and lungs. The neck shot for a meat hunter would be perfect as well.

  I have killed a lot of deer, pigs and a few bear w that cartridge and bullet.
