clip conversion ; Rem 700 VTR

Ihave a Rem 700 VTR in .204 ruger, does anyone know if it's possible to convert this from a drop plate to a clip useing the .223 conversion kit?

  Since the 204 is largely the wildcat 20/223, and overall length does not go beyond or short of tolerances, I would assume it to be a go.

  This will depend upon which 'conversion kit' you are planning to use. Not all of them work as advertised and some take extra fitting and feed lip adjustments.
