Value of rifles
I have a neighbor wanting to get rid of 2 rifles. I would like to offer her a fair price. One is an 03 Springfield in the 1200000 serial no. area. On the barrel it is marked SA under it is the flaming bomb with the date 5-20 under it. Stock is marked with s square with the SA inside with the letters AAZ on the grip. There are serveral other letters and circles and square behind the trigger guard I can't make out. It has a tan canvas sling with brass ends and a locking mechanism that has an anchor on the inside. This rifle also has 2 holes drilled in the stock toward the end at the butt. Did this have a purpose. Also she has a Japenese Arisaka but I have never seen one like this. It is 38 inches overall with an 18 1/2 in. barrel. It has the flower on it with Japenese writing under it. It has a 5 diget serial no. with 2 circle type proof marks on either side with one more proof mark on the right side. There are several proofmarks under the flip sights. The sling swivels are on the right side. Hope I have enough info on these weapons. What would some of you think a fair price would be for these weapons. I know it's difficult without seeing them but I've described them best I can. Thanks.

What is a 30-30 Legendary Lawman rifle worth? Also, a 3855 Legendary Lawman rifle? 0 -
As we have no idea as to condition, I suggest you check the auction side for comparison, particularly the closed items. 0 -
I'm not familiar with the Legendary Lawman rifles. If they are Winchester commemoratives there are two different types. The ones cataloged by Winchester or the ones commissioned by organizations and individuals for special events or private sale.
The ones cataloged by Winchester can be big buck items, not the other ones though.
In either case they have to be brand new untouched in the original box with all paperwork and accessories to maintain their value.0 -

[They are Winchester, brand new, have the original boxes and paperwork. They are both Model 94's.0 -
Both of these rifles are brand new and have the original boxes and paperwork with them. They are both Winchester brand and are Model 94's. 0 -
If they are brand new, they are worth what the DEALER is asking for them. If they are yours, they are not brand new, and they are worth whatever someone else is willing to pay for them. 0 -
If they are brand new in the box, and unfired, they are NIB, in your hands or the dealer's hands. It makes no difference. I am not sure as to what year they were made, but if they are pre 64', they are worth quite a bit. Post-63', and they are worth $400.00-600.00 for each rifle.

EDIT 1
babun,
There is a difference between NIB, and AS IS. If you don't believe me look at the few pre-64' Winchester 94's that are still NIB, and their going values/selling prices. Back before the BATFE, you could buy a gun straight from the factory, no dealer involved. Was that NIB to the private buyer? It most certainly was. I have several firearms that I purchased as a FFL dealer, that are still NIB, but now I am a private owner. Are they still NIB, or used that I changed status to non-FFL holder? Yes, I thought so...

You take it back to a dealer, and does he repair the defect? No, he sends it back to the factory or a factory warranty center to be repaired...which you can do yourself, and it will cost you much less. Besides, that is out of scope what we are talking about. The OP says the guns are NIB, so they are.
What they are worth is regulated by the law of supply and demand, not just what the DEALER is asking for them.

There are several listed on the auction side but the last one that actually sold was for $650:

Sorry, but I believe a brand new gun is just that. There IS a difference between a gun on a dealers rack and an unfired gun in a box that I had in my safe for 3 years. Try to bring a gun back to a private seller, when you find out it had a defect from the factory three years ago. "But it's brand new !" [:0] Bob0 -
I sold 2 of them new in the box over the last 2 years, both where 30-30s and both sold for $600.00.
