How old is my cooey model 84.
Hey i have a Cooey model 84 12 guage and i was wondering what year it was made. IT is a single shot, with a hammer. The stock it riveted to the action. The barrel is a full choke. Its serial number is 11656. If you could find any information on this that would be awesome. And i was also wondering what it would be worth. It is is very good shape and it has the original stock and everything. Thanks

I'm sorry but there is little to no information on Cooey made guns other that the company named, Cooey Machine And Arms Company Limited was located Coberg, Ontario, Canada from
1903 to 1961 when they were bought out by Winchester Repeating Arms. They made inexpensive utilitarian grade .22 caliber rifles and single shot shotguns (including the Model 84). As far as I know there is no serial number-year made tables for their guns. Value? Value for one of these guns will depend on its condition, the amount of original finish remaining on the metal and wood as well as the mechanical condition. A 100% prime example might bring as much as $175 while a rusty rotten incomplete piece of junk fit only for a tent peg might bring $10 for parts salvage. Most I have seen sold on the various gun auction sites have sold for between $50 and $95.0
