.22 cal falling block ?
I have what appears to be some type of falling block. The external hammer is pulled back and locks on the trigger. A stricking plate with an offset firing pin, with the handel on the right side, is pulled back. The round is inserted. The striking plate is closed against the round with the firing pin resting against the rim, ready to fire. There aren't any markings on top of the rifle. on the left side of the rifle down by the breech is a round stamp with L E G with the L on the left,G on the right, the E on top of the L and G and the a star in the bottom. On the bottom of the barrel forward of the trigger assembly is stamped JC. Thank You

Yep, it sounds like a Flobert. The proofmarks are actually "ELG", which are Liege, Belgium proofmarks. Here is a Flobert action:

Any idea as to the value. It is the same as the picture. However it has rust all over it 0 -

With a few exceptions, Floberts are not big collectibles and can not fire modern ammo. Common Flobert rifles in good condition generally bring around the $150 range. Yours would be devalued accordingly dependent on the amount of rust and pitting.0
