Akan bolt action 22

My grandfather left me a 22 rifle he brought back from Germany after WWII. It's a bolt action with the work "AKAN" on the receiver.

Does anyone know any history on this rifle and what it's worth?

  Check the marking closely, to see if its "AKAH" rather then AKAN?
  
  "AKAH" is the Trade Name of a large German sporting goods distributor, named Albrech Kind. They have been in business since the 19th Century. As they were distributors/wholesalers, the rifle was undoubtedly made by a subcontractor for them to sell.

  Thanks for the reply. The marking is AKAN. I've searched the world over trying to find any information on this rifle. To date it has been one big mystery.
