What style and brand are you looking for? There are many good places.

    EDIT:

Here is one place I have heard good things about, http://www.berrysmfg.com/

I used to buy 50,000 Star 200 grain SWC bullets at a time. and yes the price was much better. Bulk needs to be in Large amounts to make the dealer adjust his prices. . I still buy bullets and my supplier ships 2000 in each Flat rate box. USPS then shipping is cheap. Postman does not enjoy when I get a shipment. I get bullets in large amounts not only for price break but I want my reloads to be loaded with the same lot number when it comes to Powder ,Primers , Bullets. Then I can adjust the load less often after testing with Ransom Rest for match grade ammo.

I'm imagining the USPS guy showing up for work and seeing a pallet with 50,000 bullets on it that he has to deliver...[:p]

I buy all of my bullets on Midway but I've noticed that the prices aren't so great either lately. Not enough to keep me from buying them but enough to make me reduce the quantities that I used to buy at a time.

www.thebulletworks.net makes the bullets I use. They are IDPA guys who I shoot both with and against.

    They have very good prices

I buy in bulk, 5K at a time.

    Edit

Bullet Works will make bullets with grooves where you want them.
They use Magma machinery and get any mold you want.
They can have a mold made to your specs and it doesn't cost extra as long as you order 5000.

The 10mm 220 grainer was gotten just for me for IDPA and hog hunting.

looking for jacketed bullets load mostly 44mag., 357mag., 30-30 and others, this $25-$30 a box of 100 is way to much.
tryed to find deals here at the auction but see your all dealers here now selling retail, no bargins any more.

I have tryed midway, graf&sons and every place on the net. even the gun shows now, you go there and their all dealers, no one selling there own stuff any more and most of these gun show guys want as much or more than I can buy them for at the store.

And I really don't want to do cast bullets but may have to.

Looked at the bulletsworks yes they are good prices, but they are like the other companys that make plated bullets, they don't have a crimp grove, all my bulletts are shot in Winchester rifles so crimpping is a must for tubular magazines, even Barrys bullets had a nice 30-30 bullet at a good price but no crimp grove, think most of these type of bullets are for pistols?

Metal and bullet prices have gone sky high over the past couple or three years, just about double, as has ammo. The Prez and his minions have caused a lot of panic buying, but that seems to have leveled off. Unfornutately, component prices have not. And there are very few bargains on the auction side. Most of the people there seem to be doing this for a business to make a profit. Too bad it has come to this.

I have gone to casting for handgun and some rifle and shotgun reloading. Cast bullets work great at most handgun velocities, and can do well in rifles if you use gas checks. I'm also starting to do swaging which will be nearly free (scrap lead and homemade jackets). It does take a little time and some experimentation but you can produce your own high quality bullets for next to nothing once you have the dies. You can also swage certain empty brass into bullets, e.g., 9mm brass into .40 S&W, .40 into .45 ACP or .44 mag, etc. Besides just cheaper, you can also be self sufficient; one more component you can do yourself and not have to rely on the supply chain.

So who needs a crimp groove for a plated bullet? Jacketed yes, but not plated.

Well any bullet you load in a Winchester needs to be crimped, bullet can slide in the case like a telescope while in the mag. if not crimped no matter what type of bullet you use. quote:Originally posted by Tailgunner1954

You really need to shop around. There are some buys out there

Obviously he has shopped around but hasn't found what he's looking for. That's why he posted, to get more suggestions.

Nosler has a 'seconds' shop for their bullets. I can't state flat out that they will have the types of bullets you need right now but it's a start:

    http://www.shootersproshop.com/

Sierra bullets also has the same idea in place. Contact them for details.

'Seconds' are not rejected for being dented or damaged but rather for things like spotting and discolorations. Contact the manufacturers for more details.

    Best.
