Gun Collection Help II
I want to thank all of you for the input. I agree with all of you and have tried to explain that to him but when you are helping a 75 yr old friend that has put alot of time into putting this together he hates to see it split up. Knowing the average person could care less about the whole group. They want 1 gun here or 5 of those there.
But I did get some great ideas and a couple contacts. I think he is willing to split out each group like the colt, winchester, etc. and sell them as a group. If that doesn't work then I may be listing them on here or with a auction house.
Again thanks for the commits and any other ideas is appreciated.

You need to let him know that if he sells them as a lot, the new owner will most likely split them up and realize much larger profits than he. 0 -

Please let us know if you list them on here. There are two names in that group, that stand out among most collectors...Colt, and Winchester.

I toowould like to know where and when he does list bthem, the S&Ws peeked my attention. I also have to agree that he should be made aware that is sold in lots, the new buyer will most likely sell of some especially if they have multiples of some models. To get the MOST money he needs to sell each and not as a lot UNLESS it is something that has cnsective numbers on them OR are a matched set. I am sure he wants as much as he can get from them and by loting them out he will not and they will most likely be loted out anyways. Just my 2 cents on the matter but also in todays market, few and far between as to collectors who can afford say near 100 guns at a time. 0 -
Tell him to send the entire lot to me and I will do all the work listing the collection, I will take 15% of whatever the auction brings! [:D][;)] 0 -
Sounds like an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to open a gun store....and has secured a business loan of about 40k. 0
