1994 Python...born on date

I have a Python in SS and when I called Colt to get her born on date I was told ....and I quote "around 1994" ....

Shouldnt they be able to give me the exact year ? I also wanted to know what type of box it came in, either the wood grain style or a blue plastic type ? But being she couldnt give me the exact year I didnt bother asking her the box type.

Anybody ???

  Colt charges big money for factory letters, which will [usually] include the exact day, month and year a firearm was shipped. So I don't find it surprising that they won't give you that information for free.
