I bought a used one a couple of years ago. It has been good, no problems.

The stainless version is better than good. The P series Rugers are a a good value and reliable. A litle big for some but a very good house gun or car gun.

I bought one several years ago for a knock around and it turned into my favorite 45.

I had one for a few years and it was one of the most accurate autoloading pistols I've ever owned.

Great pistol, digests anything you put thru it, while its not as ergonomic or pretty as a Sig or H&K, it will get the job done for hundreds of dollars less!

Excellent value, very strong action. I have had to replace the magazine ejection button spring twice in 25 years.

I had one years back that I sold to one of my officers. It was a good reliable gun. The only drawback for me was I felt it could have used a better trigger. Good value for the dollar however.

I owned one for a short while and hated it. I bought it used, so maybe there was a problem with it, but the trigger pull seemed like it was 10lbs. Also, with any kind of hot (factory) load, the hammer bounced off the slide and hit the web of my hand between the thumb and forefinger. It needed a beavertail grip.

The balance of the piece was poor, with the large slide and light frame. Glock should have the same issue, but it felt much more top heavy than a Glock, and without the capacity.

It was fairly reliable, although definitely not perfect like some guns I have owned.

It looks like other people (above) have not had the same experience I had, but I would take 1911's over the Ruger any day, and really, any quality 45 is preferable: Glock, HK, FNP, Sig.

Take up on the trigger is my only complaint, otherwise my P90 is a typical Ruger tank. I picked up a .400 CorBon barrel for mine and shoot that caliber also, it will feed through the same magazine as the .45 ACP. Both calibers are accurate and fun to shoot.
