FFL in another state
Does anyone know if I (FFL holder)can obtain another FFL in another state? I have a FFL in FL but also have a location in TN and would possible consider having a FFL location there. I am wondering if a current FFL holder in his state of residence can obtain FFL in another state that is not his primary residence and maintain both state FFL's
Thanks

You need to read the paperwork that came with your FFL. The answers is covered in the INFO you need before you even get a license.

Q: May one license cover several locations?
No. A separate license must be obtained for each location. However, storage facilities are not required to be covered by a separate license, although the records maintained on licensed premises must reflect all firearms held in the separate storage facility. Firearms may be shipped directly to separate storage facilities as long as they are properly recorded as an acquisition in the licensee's records.

Thank you but I DID read my info when becoming an FFL and your answer was not related to my original question. I am not attempting to cover any other location with my current FFL and its current location.
As I stated in my original post: I am wondering if it's possible to obtain another FFL in another state other then my current resident state. Basically if one wanted to open another store in another location in a different state, can one obtain another FFL for that location. Can a FFL hold two different business locations in different states and maintain a FFL in these two different states simultaneously.

How does the FFL work at wally world, gander mountain, or any other multi state chain that sells guns? I would look into the possibility of an s-corp, llc, or some other legal entity having both licenses, or the legitness of having 2 such entities that each have a license. 0 -
The short answer is "yes, you can".
But you have to be prepared to be in the other State when the ATF IOI comes to do your "pre-license inspection".
In some cases they don't even come out, or you can attempt to persuade, via explaining your situation to the IOI when they call to schedule the inspection, that your primary residence is in another state. Depending on the physical characteristics of your 2nd licensed premises, i.e. storefront, secure storage, zoning etc...and depending on the IOI, they may find that an inspection isn't necessary. They may, instead, simply convey a "recommendation to issue" memo to the National Licensing Center in Martinsburg, WV.
Logic would indicate that if the two states have similar gun laws, and you already hold an FFL in one state, that you "know the rules" and know what is to be expected as part of your licensure.
But I don't like to assume that logic prevails in many ATF-employed minds.0 -
Even a sole proprietor can have multiple locations, with a separate FFL for each. 0 -
