    Can't seem to attach a pic here! Checkering is tapered toward back of grip to single point at bottom, comes out to three separate points at front of grip. Forearm checkering is straight across the top, comes out to one point on each side of top, then, comes out to a single point in middle on each side, back to a single point on bottom of each side. Looks nothing like the later XTR checkering jobs. Don't think stock was an aftermarket add on - the Winchester buttplate fits too perfectly, no buggered screw heads. Checkering pattern also has a regular larger diamond pattern within it. Does that help?

    I would say it is been restocked with nice after market stocks. Can't tell about the blueing.
