Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 Featherweight 30-06
I recently purchased a Pre-64 Model 70 Featherweight in 30-06, the Serial Number is 448XXX, it appears to be made between 1958 & 1959 from what I have found on the search engines. Bluing is 98% or better and is overall beautiful shape. My question for the experts is the stock, is this original or added from another model or a refinish job?
Trying to figure out a rough market value on this before I list it on GunBroker.

Looks aftermarket to me!!! Makes it a shooter. There will be an expert along to confirm this. HAWKSHAW 0 -
That is a teetotal restock with no connection to Winchester, whose mother was frightened by a Weatherby. 0 -
Nevertheless, that's still a gorgeous rifle...I'm sure you'll get a good price for her on GB. 0 -
Looks like a Sako Deluxe stock. 0 -
Definitely aftermarket
something looks screwy with the proofmark in the 3rd picture. although the pic isnt the best.0 -
Proof mark does look strange. The collector value is gone with that stock on your rifle, as it is it's just a good hunting rifle.

Welcome to the forum. Nice hunting rifle. Start at about $350. Absolutely NO collector value or interest set up that way. Proof mark does not appear to be original. Something wrong there. Cartod or Bert will be along to confirm, I'm sure...
