  I flew over Phu Bai in December 1974, on a trip from DaNang to Hue. The country side was in bad guy hands by that time. I evacuated Saigon in April 1975 when the bad guys drove us out. Came out on the last fixed wing from Ton Son Nhut; flew right over a ARVN and NVA tank battle right on the end of the run way.
