Your pictures are small, but I don't think it is factory gold trim.
    Look at auction $181699505.

    EDIT,
Looking at the monsters Rufe blew up, the finish is aftermarket. You can see some places where it was pitted and the serial number has been almost buffed off.
The value now is just for a shooter, around $400.

Unfortunately I'm afraid the plating isn't factory, Karen.

The way that the markings and sharp edges on the Browning have been eroded shows that a shade tree bubba gunsmith with a belt sander has worked it over with his magic touch. In it's present condition there's no collector value. Strictly a shooter for a person who likes flamboyant Saturday night special type guns.

Looks a lot like my Hi Power Practical MK III except a lot shinier. I'll have to agree that the plating is not factory.

Hello welcome back . Sorry but the grips are from a aftermarket firm on the west coast & the finish is also done by an inexperienced person that most likely refinishes Chrome Car parts. The value is only to someone that likes BLING[:(] don't feel bad all of us get taken in from time to time.

    Good Morning Karen,

I am glad you have decided to stay. I would like to take this moment as an advanced member, to welcome you to the "Ask The Experts" forum. It can be a great place to hang out and learn things from a few knowledgeable people. You have to sort thru the rest with a grain of salt.

That said, while your HiPower looks nice, it has been what we call butcherd by bubba. If it functions properly, and shoots well, then it could hit as much as $350-400.00 on the market to a person who knows guns. To someone who don't, and is looking for jewelry that goes bang, it could be sold for a bit more. That said, the auction side of this site, is a wonderful way to maximize your profits, and/or minimize your loss. Just be a truthful seller, and maintain a good rating.

If I may help you in any way, don't be afraid to ring my bell.

    Best

    Karen..welcome!

Earlier post: mention of being in the pawn business?
What I'm asking, is do you have a pawn
Federal Firearms License? (Don't have to answer my question).

You don't really need an FFL. But if yes,
any firearms transaction will be considerably easier,
and if you post the firearms over at the auction site,
you will have a nationwide audience, instead of the
local traffic you are now experiencing. It's your call,
but if you decide to 'move your stuff', then..

..simply get back to us with questions pertaining to the
finer points of placing items here, and the pitfalls to avoid
(after you have thoroughly read the sellers' tutorial on the
auction side of GB). Good luck! Joe
