Is there an easy way to reduce or alter the trigger pull on my rem 700 30.06? There doesn't appear to be any adjustment screw. Thanks for any help!

    redpete,

Adjusting most 'adjustable' triggers is not difficult but the balance necessary for a proper, SAFE trigger needs to be known and done through experience. A qualitfied gunsmith should be able to handle this for a small fee and time frame. Just bear in mind that this time of the year most gunsmiths are fixing the deer hunting rifles...

    Best.

How long has the 700 had the trigger with the three adjustment screws?

If I do this, I will have an experienced gunsmith do the actual work...

Since the 721/722 came out (1950 or so).

Here is a link to a adjustment...

Remember this is the subject of a recall and caution must be exercised when making the adjustment...
