    ES, extreme spread, you're right, difference between highest and lowest recorded velocities.
    SD, standard deviation, as already suggested, complex and best explained by the experts. Essentially a measure of expected variation of a given percent of rounds in a sample of given size. Smaller is better. Zero would be ideal, but will never happen.
