Savage ejection problem

I am having a problem with a Savage model 12 308 not "kicking" a case out after the bolt is opened. It started doing this after a loose primer pocket allowed a primer to be pushed out.

What could be the problem causing the ejector not to work?.

The extractor hook on the bolt pulls the case out of the chamber every time but the plunger that is recessed into the bolt face doesn't push the case out when the bolt fully opens.

    Extractor or ejector, the extractor may be deformed or cracked, the ejector may be stuck or damaged. Both are spring loaded check to see if you can fell the tension of the spring on them. Bad extractor could leave the round on top of the magazine, the ejector could stove pipe so could the extractor.
