1100 spring tube expertise??
I am trying to turn a normal size 1100 lt20 into a youth size. So, thanks to the fine folks on this forum, I found a youth stock for a great price.
Now when I go to install, I find out that the Action Spring Tube is too long to install the stock. The threaded end of the tube sticks right out past the end of the new stock. It appears to me that the spring tube is a fixed item, not changeable or removeable.
Any ideas on this? The ducks are here and the boy wants to shoot!
Thanks so much. This forum is a great resource. Dave

I did the same thing for my daughter several years ago. I used a Speedfeed stock from Brownells. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=30721/pid=25252/sku/Rem_1100__20_gauge
In the catalog it states " Remington 1100 20GA guns with serial numbers ening in K or U are small frame and require a 20ga stock. 20ga guns with serial number ending in X or N are large frame and require a 12ga stock. I bought the 20ga set for my LT20 and it fit with no problems.0
