Remington Model 4 .270

I have an opportunity to buy a Remington Model 4 in .270. The gun is new in the box with the hang-tag still in tact, so the gun is in "like new" condition. Also, it's tapped for a scope mount, has detachable sights, with a 22" barrel, has a cartridge head enbedded on the receiver, and a Monte Carlo cheek plate type stock, Beaver-tailed fore end and a checkered pistol grip.
What would be a resonable price to buy this rifle at?

  I wouldn't pay over $300.00 for it. Those Model Fours and early 7400's were nothing but problems from the get go.

  If it is truly in like new condition it should sell for about $450-$495 range , these are nice rifles with that old remington deep blue finish you don't seen anymore and really nice wood to boot. I really like these guns [:p] they require extra maintenance though......particulary cleaning of the chamber that's why folks refer to them as 'jam-o-matics"
