Piranha
Heard recently that some #4@%**#!! really released some piranha into Lake of the Ozarks, one of the most beautiful recreational bodies of water in the country...and they are thriving in their new home! So far there is no way to get rid of them, and they're breeding well.
Kinda' reminds me of the other mass influx of unwanted pests from south of our borders that we have no way to stop or get rid of!

Where did you hear that? 0 -
It was on the Discovery Chanel! I have never seen one but I have had my line snipped a couple of times. 0 -
That is wild. New credence for the Ozark Mountain Daredevils...
No more skinny dipping in that swimming hole!0 -
Here is one for you--I caught a 17" Paranha in Lake Wappapello~! That is here in southeast Missouri!!!!!!!
Sure surprised me!!0 -
I would be more than surprised if piranha could survive in Missouri water. They are tropical fish, oversized tetras, adapted for water temps of 75-80F. 0
