Winchester Model 64 W/scope
How bad does it hurt the value of a nice 64 with a Weaver mounted on it?
Thank you
Thank you

If it's pre-64, YES !!! 0 -
Hello Dave,
Badly. It forever removes it from the "collector" category and reduces it to "shooter" status. On a high condition Model 64, it reduces the value by considerably more than 50%.
All Winchester Model 64s are pre-64. The Model 64A was the post-1963 version.0 -

Bert H,
One of us has it backwards or something but I'm sure someone will keep us straight. [^]
The Model 64 (or Model 64A as it is sometimes called) was reintroduced in 1972 and only lasted a couple of years.
I am not a collector but the Model 64, IMHO, is the finest variant of the Winchester lever action .30/30. The original version of the Model 64 was produced from 1933 to 1957 and was offered in a standard 'Deer Rifle' model and a 20" barrel Carbine, in both standard and deluxe versions. The ones I've seen in excellent condition, the originals went for $900 and up.
