Do people collect AF flight suits (1963)?
Hey, everybody...
I have a flight suit, still in the original unopened bag.
If I could find my camera, I'd just take a pic, but...
The tag says:
Suit, Flying, Man's
Very Light, K-28
Size Large Long
Covington Industries
30 September 1963
There are also stock #'s and a spec. mil code.
I have 2 suits, but the other one is used. Do you think a collector would rather have a suit that's still in the original packaging, or would it be more desirable to have one with patches, insignias, etc.?
Your opinions are always appreciated!!

I watched some used ones go on a online auction for good money. 0 -
As a dealer in antiques and collectibles, I can tell you that "old and odd" doesn't mean big bucks generally. BUT Anything with some provenance brings money. If one of your suits say could be traced back to some test pilot that was in the early Nasa days, then it would have people wanting it. I would want "mission" patches on one I wanted to sell. Even thro it is new in the wrapper, it is "just" another piece of clothing. Think what it would be worth if it "flew" in the X-15 ??? JMHO Bob 0 -
Take it to Pawn Stars,,,Rick would love it.[:)] 0
