need some idea
hey guys, I have a pair of gold plated guns from the Sturgis 50th Bikdr rally with all the fancy engravings. the rifle is a winchester 30-30 and the revolver is a ruger 44 mag super black hawk. they are both number 4 of limited 250 unit productions. I also have the large 15 inch Buck bowie knife with number 918 of 1000. what's the best place to sell them and any idea of what they are worth. many thanks[:)] DC

"Souvenir Commemoratives" on the open market are rarely worth what you paid for them as they are not factory issues. They're usually sold during the hype of the event and aren't worth any more than an unadorned gun except to those with a special affinity for the event itself. Still, some attendees or bike aficionados may be interested in them.
You could list them on the auction side and let the market determine their value or perhaps contact an FFL dealer in the Sturgis area who may have a market for them.0 -
The Gunbroker auction site is probably the best place to sell them. But, that assumes that you can do a better job of posting photos & describing the condition & accessories on an auction listing than you did on this forum.
I have no idea how much they will bring, but the best way to estimate is to look at completed auctions on GB using the SmartSearch link. Find COMPLETED auctions for the "plain" version of similiar single guns in similar condition, & figure yours should bring the same, +/- 10%.
