remington spr453 12 ga 2-3/4-3-1/2

does anyone know if you can get a cantilever barrel for this shotgun if not can one be made. i am getting one of these guns and would love to make it a deer hunter

    Get a REAL Remington. Will save you LOTS of problems.

    The SPR453 is a Russian Baikal and built like a Russian tank. They are heavy guns, but the one my buddy has shoots well. IMO, it is one of the best low priced shotguns out there. Apparently, Remington dropped the Baikal line recently. If you cannot afford a higher end shotgun, I think it will serve you well. I have never seen or heard of a cantilever rifled barrel for the SPR453 though.

    yeah duckhunter your right i should get an 11-87 they have never had any problems at all with being finiky on ammo or having the stopper in the tube magazine breaking emtying the gun.

    Remmy or Bakail the mp153 is bomb proof , with 3.5" chamber, will cycle anything from 28-60gr+ . I put thu 1000's & 1000's thu mine with no hickups.Better than any Turk gun, & many more.

    i would agree with you as far as the posts on other forums sites have said. lots of people have said these are a very well built shotgun for the price. and the only time some one says anything negitive about the baikal 153 they can't be specific as to why they don't like them. i read one thread on i belive it was shotgun.com said he preferred duck hunting with his spr453 over his benelli. has anyone ever deer hunted with the spr453 or the mp-153?

    I borrowed my buddies SPR453 last year and killed a doe with it using 00 buckshot. It laid the doe down in her tracks.

    My personal experience with the gun has been good. I would not hesitate to reccomend it. Good luck finding a slug barrel for it.

    thanks for the reply don! unfortunatly we can't use buckshot in ohio. slugs only. does any one know of barrel maker who could build a cantilever barrel for the spr453? reasonably!?
    i'm going to get the gun reguardless of the barrel situation it's one of those stupid cheap brother n law deals you just can't pass up.
