Arisaka type 99
Is the series stamp always placed to the left of the serial number?
I have a type 99 from the Nagoya arsenal that I think may be a 0 series...

Not much chance unless it's a long rifle.
Either post pics or describe in great detail the early features.0 -

I've seen that info before. I can't find a series mark on this thing, and there definitely isn't one to the left of the serial number.
None of the information in that link is relevant to my original question...0 -
from what i read nagoya made a rifle with no series and its coded 0 to 99,000 and made 1939 to 1945 0 -

Correct, the Nagoya arsenal had a "0" series, 100,000 rifles made before the series system was introduced. And Nagoya produced the type 99 from 1939-1945, starting with series 0 in 1939 and ending with series 12 whenever they quit at the end of the war... 0 -
