Sterling 9mm carbine

I'm interested in the new version, with perforated sleeve out to the muzzle, and longer sight radius. Does anyone have feedback on it?
Does it operate well out of the box? A mixture of new and surplus parts? Magazines feed well? Thanks.

  Shop where I used to work - we sold two of these earlier this year - customers reported excellent feed and function - reasonable accuracy - no problems. Both were mix of surplus and newly made parts and actually looked pretty darn good for the class. IIRC they came through Southern Ohio Gun Works. Sold for ??just under 500??
