Thanks Guys. That auction list,The funny thing is that this guy originally wanted $4000 for his set and I offered him $3000 and he told me I was crazy. I see he made several price reductions before selling it. That makes me feel pretty good about mine since I found it local, had no shipping involved. Plus I got the original shipping carton. May not be worth anything, but to any Colt collectors it would be a plus in considering buying mine over another one. If I ever want to sell it.

FYI: 1,776 sets were made in 1976 with an issue price of $1,695. Don't ever fire them or even cock them if you want to maintain their "as new" condition and value.

    Agreed; that's fair for all.

On a recent trip to KY., I stopped in Bud's Gun Shop, as I have done a lot of trasfers from them and I wanted to see the show.

Nice, clean, neat, lots of counter help, then lo and behold; a Bicentennial Set BUT, this one was out and in the display case for everybody to handle, which they had!! A shame; still wanted $3000.00.
