.32 Savage 1915 Value
Hey all... I'm looking to list a .32 Savage 1915 pistol for auction and really don't want to put a reserve price on it, but at the same time want to start the auction at a reasonable price. What would be a fair price to list this pistol at to start an auction? Thanks!

IMHO, $200, (appears to have a little pitting on it). Cosmetics are a major factor as far as collectible firearms are concerned. The economy sucks big time now, lots of people out of work. Not the best of times to be selling anything. 0 -
So you are suggesting that I list a Savage 1915 for less than what rusty 1907's are selling for here?

This 1915 sold for over $1,000 a month ago with damaged grips on boths sides... and it's in no better shape than my pistol.

If you could figure it out for yourself, why did you ask for opinions? List it for the least amount that you are willing to accept, it will find it's own value. 0 -
Because I haven't done this before and this looked to be a place called 'ask the experts'. If this is hunting ground to steal arms from noobs then I was mistaken. I'm not an idiot but always apreciated good advice from those who know what they're talking about. Listing a pistol that has a production run of 6500 for $200 really makes me question the legitimacy of the name 'Ask the Experts' 0 -
Your model appears to have been manufactured for three years, and has values ranging from $900 for 100% condition to $200 for 60% condition. 0 -
As long as it's your personal property and in your possession you can ask anything you want for it. If you feel that it's such a high value piece, you starting price will be immaterial as multiple bidders will bid it up until it reaches it's true fair market value.
As auction # 188491946, the Model 1915 that sold for over $1000 had a starting price of $99. I don't understand why you got your panties in a knot over my suggestion that you start your auction with a starting price of $200? Chill out, take a couple of Midol, and call your gynecologist in the morning.0 -

CapnJB- if you have a high starting price, a lot of people won't bother bidding. As soon as the bidding starts, the bidders will take it up to what they think it is worth. I have also read that a lot of people that buy regularly here won't bid if there is a 'reserve' price. As with any auction, you are gambling at what you hope people are willing to pay.0 -
Yes, yours is a rarer version....There are Savage collectors out there for your model.....In todays market,,,its timing and condition....600 dollars maybe more or less. Don't take anything here personal....markets vary from areas. Good luck![:)] nambu 0
