Its a model 66-2 made in 1983. If you open the cylinder and look at the frame area where the cylinder hinges, you should see a "mod 66-2" stamped there.

Yes, they are very nice revolvers. The barrel length is actually 2 1/2". It should look like the top two guns in this picture. I like model 66's also. The bottom one I carried at work for a few years prior to switching to auto's. Its an early version with all stainless sights.

It is a piece of junk, you could shoot your eye out or worse get your hand shredded if you shoot it. Even mild .38 specials are a bomb in that cobbled up basement gunsmithie look alike. I shall save you from embarrassment at the range with possible injury to fellow shooters and a large law suite losing all of your life long savings by offering to take it off your hands and disposing of it properly so no one is hurt or maimed by this obvious fake look alike S&W. So, to please send this to me quickly so I can safely neutralize obvious piece of junk before any one is hurt or seriously injured by unsuspecting Gunbroker Bidders. Respectfully, Iham ryying thoo hieu. [:p][}:)][8D][;)][:0]
