One of the Spanish Proof Marks on the pistol will be a coded date. Either provide quality photos of the Proof Marks or give a very specific description of them.

Sorry no pics as the guy selling is a distance away, The only engraving on the gun other than proof marks is written as follows. Gabilondo y Cia-Elgoibar

Gabilondo y Cia made a straight blowback miniaturized 1911 copy starting in 1933. They have made several models with different roll markings on the slides.

The only way to really tell when the pistol was manufactured, or at least proofed, is by the proof markings, as already mentioned. Sometimes on commercial pistols, the markings are under one of the grips.

Llamas reputation for quality is spotty at best. Also these pistols are not rare.

Personally, I would be very leary of a seller not willing to provide me with information that I wanted to make the sale. YMMV.

The early Llama guns through the late 1950s were very nice guns. The early .32 and .380 models were locked breech, not blowback. Early models are fairly scarce.
If the gun has a ventilated rib, it is a much later model

I have one pic emailed to me and there is no vent rib so it may in fact be a early model.

had a couple of the llama little 1911-22...cute guns but if you get one of 380 i would say get as close to new condition as possible ..one had some use & wasn't functionally reliable... have heard softer metal ??
