i have a weatherby 7mm wby mag how do i tell a vanguard or other models apart. im not sure what model i have

I believe Vanguards,,at least most have that stamped on them. Mark V s I believe have that on them also..I don't know about he ones sold at Wallyworld if they had any markings ...pic would tell the tail. 0 -

In the early years Weatherby made rifles made up from the customer supplied action. From 1949 to 1963 he used the FN Mauser, model 1898 type, action. These early rifles are referred to by collectors as Southgate Weatherbys. You may have one of them. The MK-V trigger guard hole spacing is 8-1/8", the Vanguard I believe is 7-7/8" 0
