Colt Trooper Mk. III .22LR 8" info needed?

I have a Colt Trooper Mk. III .22LR #Y203xx with an 8" barrel in 99% beautiful condition. Closest info I've found is approx. year 1980-81?
Not sure?? What really interest me is that I've heard that the .22LR with 8" barrels have limited numbers produced. Does anyone know how many Colt made of these and when? Thank you, Warren

    The MK III Troopers were made from 1969 to 1983. The were produced with 4" 6" & 8" barrels in .22LR, .22 Mag and .357 Mag in both blue and nickel. Not sure of the number made with 8" barrel.

    additional info added: I called Colt's customer service and provided my model/serial number and they were able to tell me manufact. year of 1980... Thanks to all for your replys. Warren
