I've searched and couldn't find much.
Question is, is rifle(30-06)armor piercing ammo legal in california?

  Yes, it is legal. Only AP "handgun" ammo is not legal in Cal.

  I didn more searching and found out the same thing.
  I think that's the way it is in most states.
