someone asked me what the choke configuration was on my Ranger 20 Gage double barreled shotgun. How do you tell what that is?

If it is not marked - and there are some peculiar codes - if it has 28 or 30" barrels it is most likely full and modified, if 26", improved cylinder and modified. 0 -
There are normally markings like an "*" or series of these under the forearm part of the barrel. If not, here is a "general" measurement:

Skeet #10612 .615

Modified #10614 .600
Imp.Mod. #10615 .595
Full #10616 .590
X-Full #10617 .585
Turkey #10651 .575
Use a vernier to check.

Take the barrels off of the gun and look underneath of them, if its not marked you will have to measure. 0
