Yes, you can sell it online but it would have to be shipped to a Federally licensed dealer if shipped out of state. Please read this tutorial to learn how to sell and ship within the law online:

for further information, can you please tell us what kind of rifle it is?

As long as you can legally possess a firearm. You can sell one on the net, to a resident of another State. Be aware depending on it's age and other factors, the transfer to the out of State party will have to be either through a licensed Federal Firearms Dealer, or to a individual who possesses a Federal Firearms Curio and Relic license.

This link is to a section of the Gun Broker site that gives instructions on the selling of firearms on the Gun Broker Auction.

You should do the right thing and give or sell it back to your ex-husband. At least offer it to him as it was his fathers.

We don't know the circumstances of this lady's divorce nor is it any of our business. Maybe her ex is a convicted felon or wife abuser and can't own firearms. Maybe he's in prison right now. Maybe he's even a mental patient.

She didn't tell us her story nor ask for any personal advice. She simply asked how to sell a rifle on the auction side and I think we should stick to the question at hand - and the only known facts.

I agree with Spidey, and rufe. As long as you can legally posses it, you can sell it, as long as it is not an NFA type weapon. Those need to go dealer to dealer. A regular firearm can go individual to class 01 FFL. If you have any questions, or I can be of any assistance, just click on my name"tsr1965", and my info will come up. Click on e-mail, and drop me a line.

As for the rest of you four wanna-be's, go preach on your bully pulpit someplace else, and quit acting like "7 year old's". Untill you walk the mile in someone elses shoes, they don't need that BS you are bestowing!
