    My WAG on the date is 1965. Browning serialization during that time frame is awful confusing. Years back I had one of their .22 pistols made in 1969 that had a serial number sequence 180 degrees out of sync with the data on the Browning web site.

    As far as value is concerned it would be best to post quality photos for our members advice on valuation. You could also check the actual selling prices on the on line auctions for a ballpark value on yours.

    As rufe-snow says pictures would be a big help in determining value. Major factors in addition to general condition are: original uncut butt stock (no pad), plain or vent rib barrel, choke, barrel length. A plain barrel, full choke, sweet sixteen from the '60s in 60% condition with a recoil pad is likely in the $300 range. A 98+% condition one with original stock and a vent rib barrel with IC choke is in the $1200+ range.
