Granade from the 1920's?

Has anyone seen this type of granade and have any info on it? There are no markings on the piece. My Dad always told me he used it on the practice range and may have brought it home form Pine Pamp (now Camp Drum) near Watertown, NY around 1925.

  Yes, it's just a throwing practice grenade.
