Remington 1875 Accuracy Question(s)
Hello!
I've been recently deciding whether or not I want the 7.5 inch or 5.5 inch 1875 Remington revolver and would like to know just how much accuracy I can expect from each.
If possible (if you're an owner of each) could you provide distance comparison?
Thanks a bunch guys.
Bert

You might want to post this thread in the Black Powder & Cowboy Action Shooting Forum:

just to note, barrel lenght and accuracy have nothing to do with each other. how well YOU can shoot is another mater. 'Generaly' it is easyer to shoot accuratly with a longer barrel. 0 -
Is this an original Remington made before 1900 or a modern gun made in the style of original Remington but made in ITALY in the last 40 years[?] For the most part accuracy is a function of #1 the person firing the pistol and #2 quality of the pistol barrel and ammo that fits the barrel. The length of the two barrels you are talking about may amount to very little the quality of each barrel may vary more the what would be gained by 2 inches. Go with what seems to fit your hand and holster the best. Personally I think as long as the barrel is over 3 inches then it is a MOOT POINT. 0
