Question before bidding
I have in the past asked questions on an item before I bid. Now it seems I can not do this. When I click on ask seller a question it reads you "Error" You must be allowed to bid to send a message. What the H is this. I know my account is good I checked it and even won another auction the day before.

It sounds like the seller has blocked you. Ask GB support for clarification. 0 -
I tried researching the FAQ last night but I could not find the actual link where to contact GB. 0 -

Simply click on the "Help" link at the top of the GB home page or any auction page or use MAND050's link.0 -
Thanks to all I have already contacted GB, got a response and a fix. Great support here. 0 -
I have a long list of blocked people. 99 % Great people on GB, have been really impressed, but the other 1% get block with a single stupid comment.
For example. "Has the mags ever been put in the Pistol ? " BLOCKED ! " Oh I can get the pistol for cheaper ? " BLOCKED !
I don't even bother with the answers anymore. For example, how should I know if the factory ever inserted the mag in the pistol ? And if U can get the Pistol cheaper than why in the world are U asking someone selling it for higher to come down ! BUT THE CHEAPER ONE ! There are endless other silly questions.
p.s If they ask for a bunch of pictures they are shoppers or they will be that one nit picky guy that will take a microscope to the finish and claim its 99.6 not 99.8 condition. I no longer offer any other pics, and if there is more than 5 questions in 1 email they a BLOCKED ! [:D]

HA ! [:p] Sure I am, send me the money and a ffl and U recieve what was listed. DONE DEAL. Don't need to make friends, or talk or chat, and don't have the time for excuses. Here are a few .....
Oh I am a NR NON RATED BIDDER , I didn't know that ?
Oh I hit the BUY IT NOW by accident ?
Oh I saw it for less, can U give me the lower price ?
Oh let me tell U my life story, because I'm buying $20 of snap caps from U. [V]
Like I said 99% are great, the 1% are beyond hope. JUST BLOCK THEM.0 -
If the deal, for any reason, doesn't feel right, I'll ask for one additional photo [of a specific area].
Saves the hassle of sending money off to a scammer who took the photos from stock footage somewhere.
But, hey, that's just me, looking out for lil ol me!
Anything for sale? Post the link!

I understand BUYER caution, particularly when stock photos are used, I take my own 3 mg pic. And I used to send extra pics all the time, for I usualy take 8 or so and only use the 4 best. However over time, if they ask for a picture, they are shopping.
I have found 100% of the time I bid on something and won , I recieved the item, may not of been exactly as described , but no real complaints. For it's buyers beware, and on one expensive pistol $900 WAS UNAWARE BY THE PICS THAT THE FINISH WAS NOT CORRECT. THere was no mention of the finish, but if I KNEW what to look for it was obvious. But no biggy, I shot it , and sold it, but listed it with the incorrect finish so the next person knew what they were getting.0 -
I treat everybody as a possible buyer, you never know who the next buyer will be. 0 -
I am not just a tire kicker as I have bought a $1,000 and a $1,500 rifle on the internet auctions in the last 6 months. I have learned from experience to ask questions. "Slick"** knows how to post pictures of what he has for sale to minimize the appearance of dings and defects. Some even post a picture of one side only. I will always ask for more photos if several good clear photos are not included with the listing. Posting a picture of an item different from the one for sale is right down there with fraud in my opinion. I am one who has learned some expensive lessons from buying on the internet auctions.
** "Slick" is a reference to the shyster seller in general with no particular one in mind.0
