Can you tell me the DOM of a 20 ga Model 21 SN26623?

    I do not have my book in front of me but I am sure that gun was made in the custom years of the 21 (1959 and beyond), probably in 61 or 62. Go over to the Win21 forum and ask Pauline, she can probably tell you what day it was made.

    Thanks cartod...I didn't know about that forum so I did register for it. I will ask Pauline about this gun. What kind of info about my Model 21 can she give?

    I recently found "Mike's Winchester Model 21" website also. It has some research data on DOMs. I'd heard that the 21 serial numbers were all over the place. I was especially interested in his research on 20 Gauge 3" magnum guns.

    Serial no.s were all over the place, but fortunatly very good records exist on the 21. Pauline worked in the Custom shop and has alot of the 21 records. It might take them a couple days to get you set up on the website, there is not that much activity there. Good Luck.

    I joined the 21 forum and contacted Ms Muerlle. She was quite helpful. My gun was made in 1950 and she has more info about it. Also getting a letter from Cody so we'll see what happens.

    Wow, it just goes to show you. I have one that is not much higher in serial no. and it was made 17 years later. Glad she helped you out.
