Identify this Remington 700 BDL
I have a 700 BDL that I purchased a some years ago that has a black synthetic stock matte barrel and fixed iron sights. It is not an sps rifle. It has the standard BDL hindged floor plate, raised cheek piece and a 22/24" barrel. I can't find any markings on it to tell me anything other than it is a Remington 700. I usually keep all documentation when I buy a new rifle, but I can't seem to locate the paper work for this one. Anyone have any ideas as to what this is? Thanks in advanace for your help.

Did you buy it at walmart? It looks just like a typical ADL but with an actual hinged floor plate.
I think its just a Remington 700 BDL Synthetic that was made pretty much just for walmart. The "walmart BDL" because the plastic is cheaper than wood.0 -
No I didn't buy it at Wal-mart. It was purchased through a regular dealer at the time. A friend of mine thought that it might have been a "mountain" rifle? 0 -
my guess would be rem.700 bdl.SS Is the reciever stainless ? If it is thats probably what it is. They came in 14 different calibers, all calibers had 24 in barrels. What cal. is it that would tell more? 0 -
I think all mountain rifles had 22in barrels, if we knew for sure what length and cal. Could help more. 0 -
It is a 270 caliber. If you measure from the crown to the the end of the barrel it is 22" ( just measured it). 0 -
standard ADL from the ninetys. 0
