I want to thank everyone who replied to my post.I will try to post some pictures of the finished stock (when i finish it)I appreciate all the help. I have done a few stocks before but never with true oil, i think (hope[:)]) it will turn out good..

Here's an oil finish I did about 5 years ago. Notice how the grain is smooth and filled. The nice thing about an oil finish is that if you mess it up a little, just sand it back down and re do it. Its only time, time spent with a nice gun. [^]

Very nice , hope mine turns out that nice.Its just an ald rem. 22 stock, but i still want it to look good. 0
