Pictures will be needed. See the sticky on posting photos.
The markings are of a firearms maker in Western India. Australian Tube is a brand of tubular steel from- wait for it- Australia.

The gun maker is still in business-
Narayan Jagannath Sikligar Gun Manufacturers and Suppliers
Tel: 2490718 | B/8, Near Pratap Nagar, Cotton Mill Udaipur.

Other than that, I can't tell you a thing without more info and PICTURES.

As far as I can tell (and I make no claim to expertise with guns from India) you have a modern reproduction of a muzzleloading firearm. Step 1- insure that the gun is not loaded. Insert the ramrod (or a cleaning rod) as far down the barrel as it will go, mark it at muzzle, pull out, lay beside barrel- should reach all the way to the nipple. If it stops short, there is a load in there- see a gunsmith to have it pulled.

About the rust- after checking for unloaded, remove barrel from stock- get some light oil, cover the rusty parts, wrap in a cotton cloth, soak w/ some more oil, let soak for 1-2 days. Product called KROIL is great. After soaking, use a copper pot scrubber (called Chore Boy) with some more oil on the rust.

What little I know of these does not indicate that it is a high dollar gun- you should not hurt values cleaning up the rust.

    Anyone else? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?
