Ithaca Flues grade 20 double firing fix
I have inherited a nice old Ithaca 20 SxS from 1917 my father bought for us (I was about 10) to begin trap shooting with years ago. It has a single trigger action. I found recently that it fires both barrels if both are loaded. Something has broken.
Is there a known fix for this condition and does anyone have a reference link to information related to fixing this? Thanks in advance!

The gun can be repaired, but it should be done by a competent gunsmith. 0 -
Thanks Bill. I was interested in understanding the problem so when I approach a gunsmith to fix it, I know whether he understands what is wrong and how to fix...ie, he is not doing it for the first time. I don't trust myself to take out the screws without possibly damaging them even though I am mechanically adept.
Any suggestions for a reasonable Ithaca gunsmith in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area?0
