Winchester Model 94 question.

I got a Winchetser 94 rifle, serial number 406162x in 30-30 winchester.

Any info on the Approximate DOM would be helpful. Thanks, QM.

    1973/4 probaly has the anodized reciver finsh more blackish?

    kinda looked case hardened, the reciever finish is in pretty bad shape..

    The DOM is somewhere in the early 1970s. As such, the value is most likely in the $125 - $200 range.

    I got it in the 150.00 range. so it seems I did OK, Looks like it has bee carried alot and shot very little. The wood is fantastic and the barrel looks like it has all the orignial blue, it is just the reciever and lever thats been neglected.

    I was planning on useing it as a deer/truck gun. Know where i might be able to get the reciever a Good finish? Is it possible to have it case hardened?

    The reciever and lever are the normal "high wear" spots on the model 94. You'll find that the hand wraps nicely around the reciever, to carry it.
